Getting Married

Congratulations on your engagement! We are always delighted to be approached by couples wanting to get married, even if they don’t yet have any connection with the HEU Benefice.

Please feel free to contact the church office with any questions you might have, as that is the best way to start the process of booking a wedding. You will be asked to fill out an application form which does not commit you to anything but does enable us to confirm that you are legally entitled to get married at one of our churches. We will then get in touch with you to arrange for you to meet us and to start planning the big day.

We do not usually marry couples where either of you have a former spouse from a previous marriage still living, although in those situations we may be able to offer you a service of prayer and dedication following a civil ceremony, and we would be happy to discuss that with you.
